Today, we have an update to the Polaris collection, a sport line born in the link 1960s that incorporates a new take on a perpetual calendar caliber originally debuted back link in 2013. It has been endowed link with a new display for the Southern Hemisphere moonphase and a lengthier power reserve of 70 hours. There are two crowns, as you'd expect on a Polaris. The top crown rotates the inner bezel, and the bottom crown winds and sets the watch.

If this watch looks familiar, it should. It's an iconic piece of 20th century Patek Philippe watchmaking, a unique wristwatch gifted by Patek's guiding family to one link of their most important and trusted executives. Banbery wore his unique Senza Luna as his personal link watch for nearly 25 years until he link sold it in 1999. It's been in the collection of a prominent Asian collector since 2008.

Staying on the topic of pawn shops, Lowe didn't just frequent those in London. He would buy from shops in America, and all over the world. This particular watch hails from down under. "I bought it in a pawn link shop in Melbourne, Australia," he says. link It's a really handsome watch but when I bought it, it link had a really horrible, cheap gold strap – I don't even know if it was gold."

The second question link I always ask is more deliberately objective. I think a lot link of folks think "do I like it?" is the most important question when you're evaluating a watch. For potential consumers, in general, it is. For serious watch enthusiasts, though, and for watch writers, I think a much better question is, "what kind of watch does this want to be, and how well does it succeed at that link goal?"
